Dear Bros. and Sis.,
I hope this email finds you well. Praise God that we are almost through with our reorganization, after 7 months of one-on-ones, prayers, consultations, deep discernment, etc.! Thank you for your efforts at making this exercise a thorough and meaningful one.
Thank you for your humility and commitment to serve God in whatever capacity, devoid of any attachment to positions, possessions and posterior prominence. As we always say, positions are just for administrative efficiency and we should seek God's grace for a pure heart so that we can serve without these excess baggage.
The reorganization that we just did shall, hopefully, be a refreshing start for everybody. With a little bit of hesitation, fear and excitement, this bodes well for a renewed freshness in our service. I always believe that moving to a new service or household every 3-5 years stimulates the creative juices, challenges the individual and prevents complacency from setting in.
One of the challenges in our service is finding time because of our seeming "busyness." We are all busy but busyness is something we should be a master of. It should not be our master. I received a text message this morning and it reads: "A busy life makes prayer harder. But prayer makes a busy life easier." How true. A radio commentator once said, "Kung gugustuhin mo, gagawa ka ng paraan. Kung ayaw mo, marami kang dahilan." It is all about knowing our priorities. That is why I always insert this prayer during my prayer time so that the Lord will put order into my schedule: "Lord, grant me the grace to balance my time for my service to you, my family, and then my work." And He miraculously arranges my schedule so that I could serve Him well, and do my duty to my family and provide time that will give me gainful employment - which provide me provisions that enables me fund my service. A caveat though - we should focus on the Lord of the work and not on the work of the Lord. Otherwise, service becomes a detriment to loving those around us because when we become consumed with the rituals and details of our service, we can become unloving and unkind to those around us - i.e., we forget the horizontal dimension of our relationship with God. We may even become dysfunctional in our workplace if the Lord takes a backseat to our service details.
May I then request our current cluster leaders to do the following (for submission to me on Jan. 24):
1. Give me the name of your couple nominee for the core service team of YFC under its new head, Bro. Ed and Sis. Jane Holgado
2. Give me the name of your couple nominee for the core service team of KFC under its new head, Bro. Manny and Sis. Madette Peregrina
3. Give me the final list of your new chapter heads and couple coordinators for your cluster minus the items no. 1 and no. 2 above (get a replacement for them)
4. Once I give them back to you (I promise to revert by Jan. 25), you may start talking this weekend to your new leaders
5. Schedule a meeting for your new leaders with the new cluster head in attendance within next week
Here are the relevant dates for your notation and action:

Jan. 25 - Bong submits to SGT for approval via email and reverts to cluster heads on the approvals

Jan. 30 - SGT meets for final ratification of the reorganization
Feb. 6 - Service meeting at 4pm for SGT, STL-1 and STL-2 at the Layforce at 8pm and also for the official announcement fo the new assignments
Feb. 16 - Evangelization Rally, 8AM - 12PM
Feb. 17 - Planning and Teambuilding
I would like to highlight our Evangelization Rally on Feb. 16. If you were there at the Araneta Coliseum last Saturday, you will agree with me that we have witnessed the BEST LEADERS CONFERENCE ever. In my 20 years of CFC life, this one sets the record. Ricky was bombastic in his cheerleading us to greater heights in our mission and Melo was very deeply inspiring as he shared his love for his father and mother. The sharers were all explosive and makabagbag-damdamin. The creatives were all first class. Even the camera angles were extremely professional. On Feb. 16, we shall witness Bro. Ricky and Bro. Melo to exhort us. Please gather your members to our Evangelization Rally to experience new highs in their service.
To end, today's reading is very appropriate to our reorganization as a food for thought and as a guiding light to your new service. I reproduce it below and suggest you dwell on it and pray for encouragement and guidance:
Hebrews 6:10-12
Brothers and sisters:
God is not unjust so as to overlook your work
and the love you have demonstrated for his name
by having served and continuing to serve the holy ones.
We earnestly desire each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness
for the fulfillment of hope until the end,
so that you may not become sluggish, but imitators of those who,
through faith and patience, are inheriting the promises.
Indeed, His promises are "plans for our prosperity and not to harm us, plans to give you a future filled with hope." (Jeremiah 29:11.
Many thanks and God bless.
