Dear Bros. and Sis.,
As you may know, we are now in the final phase of our first major reorganization for our sector. It took us around 8 months to complete our one-on-ones, individual discernments, consultations and revisions.
The SFC ministry of our sector is also currently in the process of reorganizing after our meeting last Monday with the current head, Bro. Obet Sanchez and our current Family Ministry head, Bro. Leo Campos. As part of the goal of integrating with the mainstream CFC, it was decided to create new positions in SFC on a Cluster level. We shall announce the results in the next few weeks.
You may be wondering why it took a long time to reorganize and some may even probably ask the question : If we prayed to the Holy Spirit, why is it that there are still changes that happen along the way? This is the first time we are doing a very massive reorganization with the goal of ensuring freshness in our service, developing new leaders and heeding God's call to bring more souls to Him. Ginawa natin itong isang masusi at malalim na pag-iisip na punung-puno ng pag-darasal, pagkilatis at pagmumuni-muni. Hindi madali ang proseso. At may mga pagbabago sa kalagitnaan. But the Holy Spirit allowed all these to happen so that by going through the experience, we may gauge individually and collectively if we have made an effort to truly discern the right service for the right person. Whether or not that person performs and/or meets objectives and targets, etc in his/her assigned service, will not be as important as the good purpose that the Lord has in his/her life and in the intertwined lives of the people he/she will touch in this new service. Success will not be measured in the superficials but in the lives that will be transformed later on, including his/her.
We also all benefit from the refining and pruning that we receive from the process and the new service we are given. Success shall be measured by how much, precisely, we have grown in the Fruit of the Spirit. He allowed us to undergo this arduous process so that we may be able to build bridges in relationships and learn further the art of relating with brethren, no matter what shape or form they are in.
Well, after all is said and done, we are now announcing the new assignments.
Attached are two spreadsheets: 1) Service Assignments; 2) Pastoral Household assignments. For the service assignments, the groupings are intended for you to know who is taking the lead in your service and who you will be coordinating with above you for direction and guidance. For the pastoral assignments, these are your new upper households (and lower households for those given such). Please be guided accordingly.
After some deliberation last night, and following the suggestion that we should have a teambuilding session given that we have new leaders and bonding should be a priority, too, please check your calendars and block the dates MAY 11-12. While this is not our traditional planning period annually, we shall push through with this so that we can set the direction not just for one year but for the coming years.
We refrained from announcing this in our Evangelization Rally last Saturday due to the shortness of time (we finished at 2:00pm - over by 1 hour) and the meager attendance despite the presence of our Chairman and Executive Director and the beautiful creatives of the 29AD Music Ministry (Reasons given: 1. first time we are holding it on a Saturday - thus, many of our members have work; 2. coincided with the SFC-ICON, 3. new leaders not yet having the authority to encourage members to attend) which is another story altogether. :-) Lessons learned given that we had a huge attendance in the last couple of years' evangelization rallies. :-)
Nevertheless, for all our clusters, please plan for your CLP dates first. If you intend to conduct MERs and Teachings, you may calendar them now BUT once we have set the priorities of the sector come planning session, we shall prioritize the outcome of that session. Our theme for this year is OBEY and WITNESS. But in order for us to be obedient and to witness to others through our good example, we must be rooted in Christ. And this means we need to have a massive dose of pastoral formation, apart from the usual. Thus, we shall continue to send mission teams to WITNESS, but we shall also focus this year and next year on pastoral formation. Offhand, we shall offer the following programs: ABBA Weekend, MC Retreat for our new chapter leaders and up, weekend HLT, ULT, MER-3. We shall announce the offerings at an appropriate time.
If any of you have contacts in either one of these places, or if you could suggest an ideal place for our teambuilding and planning session, please do not hesitate to inform us, viz:
- SMC (Tagaytay)
- Lopez (Antipolo)
- Fontana (Pampanga)
- DAP (Tagaytay)
- Hot Springs Resort (Pansol, Laguna)
Attendees will be Cluster Heads and Up, i.e., Sector SGT, sector family ministry coordinators (SFC, YFC, KFC, HOLD, SOLD, Mature Ministry), Cluster Heads, SocDev Ministry Coordinators (Cornerstone, Prison, GKare, Migrant Workers), Ancop (Education, Community Dev.Shelter, Education, Health, Livelihood, CSP).
Thank you, all, for your patience and trust. I apologize for any inconvenience caused in this reorganization process. Thank you, as well, for accepting your new service assignments. I am very sure that God will accompany us, bless us and strengthen us in our new service as we turn a new leaf in the life of Central C.
Again, heaps of thanks and God bless you all.
