Hey Guys, I was wondering, if you could suggest when to use KVM
virtualization, Xen and VMWare. Which one do you think is the most
popular among the various virtualization offerings in the market.
Appreciate your help folks. Thanks.

VMWare seem to be popular, but not free as I know. All depends on why
do you need this?

This answer to this question directly relates to the requirements. For
servers where you need many small environments, Virtuozzo or OpenVZ
would be my choices. For environments where a hypervisor environment
is necessary, VMWare or Xen would be my choices. And for server
environments where uptime is key, the supported solutions from
Parallels and VMWare are usually the way to go.

@ mark_smith,

Xen is free and dedicated one but VMWare is not a dedicated one.

Say for example, In XEN hypervisor there is no overselling (RAM - if i have 64 GB, we will shell only 64GB) but VMWare we can overselling. so that's not a dedicated one, i have worked on XEN morethan 2.5 years performance is good compare with virtuza container

Thanks,
