to Center for Pragmatic Buddhism
What is the Buddhist stance on the environment? Is there a single
stance, or multiple stances? In light of modern environmental
concerns, what does Buddhism advocate and have to offer?
In honor of our upcoming participation at the 2008 Earth Day Festival
in Forest Park, these questions will be examined. We will look at
some historical Buddhist views of humanity's role on earth and what
those views mean for us today. We will also present a distinctly
Pragmatic Buddhist view, one that incorporates the best of Buddhism
with the urgency of pragmatism.
See you then!
