I find it ironic that the two twins, Aureliano Segundo and Jose
Arcadio Segundo are so different from eachother. While one is all
about violence like Arcadio, the other is all about scientific
mysteries like Jose Arcadio Buendia. Aureliano is more like Jose
Arcadio Buendia because he tries to figure out the papers left behind
by Melquiades. Jose Arcadio Segundo is more like Arcadio because he is
very moved by greed and jealousy and wants to be in full control all
the time and has no problem fighting for that.
I also find it ironic that all the children/grandchildren are pretty
much raised by Ursula and yet they are all so very different from
eachother. There are really no two children that are alike aside from
Arcadio and Jose Arcadio Segundo. All of these children/grandchildren
are known for different personalities and different things that they
did. It's kind of goofy how none of the family members stand strong
for the same thing or anything like that.
