Benefits Of Quran Khatam

Occasionallymy mother will recite a khatm of the Quran with the intention of gaining tawfiq in some matter, or for someone in our family to be helped in overcoming some obstacle. For example, if someone is about to have a critical surgery, she will recite a khatm so that it goes smoothly and works out successfully. She also keeps fasts for this purpose. She would like to know if this is allowed.

Also, can we celebrate the moving into a new house with a khatam (a meeting of people who finish the quran) in order to receive blessings?? It is common practise in people from the Indian Subcontinent. Are we allowed to have food at this gathering??

This recitation can be carried out individually and also collectively with maintaining the proper Adab and respect for the book of Allah. However, in the case of collective recitation, it is preferable to recite silently.

As for the eating of food after the recitation is concerned, there is nothing principally wrong in that. However, care should be taken that the objective of the gathering is not lost, and the intention of attending the gathering is not one of eating food.

Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder by the fear of Allah. Such are the parables which We put forward to mankind that they may reflect. [Quran Al-Hashr 59:21]

Hence the salaf used to read Quran a great deal during Ramadan, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Qataadah (may Allah have mercy on him) used to complete the Quran every seven nights all the time, and every three nights in Ramadaan, and every two nights during the last ten days of Ramadaan.

This hadith proves that people who are not well versed in the Arabic languge or have other difficulties in reciting the Quran, get even a higher reward for reciting the Quran in Arabic for their extra effort.

Please use this very nice month on ramadhan to make amalan shaliihan everything both in relationships with Allah the almighty God (hhablum minallah) and relationships with all human (hablum minannaas). Do good works and fastabiqul khairaat

scholar, but the scholar did not come right on time.

When the Atheist and the villagers thought that the

scholar will not come for the debate, then the scholar

showed up.

After the people calmed down, the scholar said, If

you believe that the boat could not exist without its

maker, then how could you believe the earth, sky, and

its contents exist without its creator? Which is the

most difficult to make? Making a boat or creating the

earth, sky, and its contents?

Milky Way is only a galaxy among thousands galaxies

Clusters form the Universe whose length is 30 billion

light years away! Remember, the number 30 billion

light years away only current estimation since the

strongest telescope today only could reach 15 billion

light years away.

There are millions of people controlling the traffic

on road, sea, and air. Beacons are built. People also

build traffic light and radar. Air Traffic Control is

built to prevent accident. All vehicles have drivers.

Even on airplane there are pilot and co-pilot to make

the flight safer. On the ships there are Captain,

navigator, and engineers. Yet thousands of accidents

happen every year on land, sea, and air. Even though

there are many controllers, the accidents still

happen.

On the contrary, the Earth, Sun, Moon, Stars, and

others always revolve for billions of years without

single crash. Most scientists believe that the Earth,

Sun, and all of the other planets and moons in the

solar system formed about 4.6 billion years ago. For

billions of years until now the Earth never bump into

the Sun, and the Sun never collides with the Moon.

There is no mark, police, nor pilots to drive them.

Without God, the Controller of the Universe, none of

these would happen. Everything is in order because

there is God who controls everything. Allah has put

orbit for each of those things. If we really think

about it then we will know that God exist.

In another verse, Allah challenges others to create a

fly if they could do it. Men may be could make robots

from things that created by Allah. Yet, none could

make a fly from nothing nor thing that could reproduce

except Allah:

Allah loves mankind to benefit both on earth and in the hareafter that, he brought Quran to us as a guidance for prosperity, spiritual development and piety. Even the christians are gradually reading the Quran due to its simplicity ,what are passive moslems waiting for? May Allah give us the zeal and enthusiasm to read and practise the teachings of the Holy Quran. AMEEEN.

There is no word as beautiful as ALLAH. No example as beautiful as RASULULLAH. No lesson as beautiful as ISLAM. No song as melodious as AZAN. No charity as meaningful as ZAKAT. No encyclopedia as perfect as AL-QURAN. No exercise as perfect as SALLAT. No dieting as perfect as FASTING. No journey as perfect as HAJJ. In these are PERFECT signs for people who REFLECT! RAMADAN KAREEM!

how i wish non muslims too could have access to this and see the greatness of ALLAH (swt) through quran. Since i know the power of the last two two rakas of the holy quran, which i dont fail to recite before going to bed, the era of bad dreams in me stopped. Thanks to ALLAH (swt).
