Confusion regarding measure Unit

Hey Guys,

I have a bit of confusion regarding measure units in OpenCensus https://opencensus.io/stats/measure/#definition

Are there only 3 measures namely By, ` and ms? They gave a link of Unified Code of Measures https://ucum.org/ucum.html, but honestly it is too much to digest at once. I there an example how to use or instrument different kind of metrics?

For e.g. I am looking to record Prometheus Gauge which can increase, decrease or reset to 0 Which is the corresponding measure for that?
