So I've been trying to bury coconut saplings next to the palm trees I wanna stunt but it doesn't work. Help needed! If all else fails I might just wait for when I wanna update my DA then plant those trees XD
I feel like every year I visit the Neptune statue the palms have been replaced. The ones away from the immediate coast do very well of course. They should probably stick to planting them away from the oceanfront. I guess that's what happens when they're exposed to the cold, desiccating winter winds. I remember the S. palmettos directly on the coast in SC (away from urban areas) didn't look as good as the ones growing behind the live oaks.
The girl's family told investigators the girl and several of her friends were playing at about 6 p.m. on an obstacle course strap attached between large palm trees in the Smith Farm neighborhood, along Hypoluxo Road near Florida's Turnpike, when one of the trees fell, hitting a 9-year-old boy and landing on top of the girl.
The single-day fest, which will also take place in Hamptons, New York in June, was created by Norwegian DJ Kygo and his manager Myles Shear. The name of the festival comes from the pair gifting each other and their closest friends necklaces with palm trees on them as a symbol of community.

The all-ages general admission passes start at $169; VIP all-ages passes start at $449; and the exclusive Palm Club Tables for those 21-and-older only start at $5,000. Children ages 5 and under that are accompanied by an adult are free.

It took nearly four years for the city to process the paperwork, but a former La Costa Canyon High School student has won city heritage tree status for the iconic Canary Island date palm at Moonlight Beach.
In its review of the application, California state parks officials said they could support the request with a few conditions, including limitations on where the heritage sign is placed and how regular chemical treatments to prevent South American palm weevil infestations are handled.

I paint the sea using a combination of ultramarine blue, burnt sienna and titanium white and then for the lighter areas in the water I add cobalt teal and phthalo green to my blue mix to give the turquoise hue that is in the water.I paint the sand using a combination of yellow oxide, burnt sienna, a little ultramarine blue and a lot of titanium white.I form the shadows of the stems of the coconut palms using a mixture of ultramarine blue, burnt sienna and quinacridone magenta.

The iconic palm tree-lined streets of Miami Beach may no longer be a common sight, as the Miami Beach City Commission has created a plan to reduce the concentration of palms in favor of shadier trees to preserve the environment.
The cutback aims to mitigate the effects of climate change by reducing urban warming and improving overall air quality. The MBCC seeks to reduce the concentration of palms to 25% of the total canopy by 2050.
Over the next two decades, the city of Miami Beach plans to facilitate the planting of over 1,300 shade trees per year. These trees allow for a more pleasant pedestrian experience, with shadier pathways cooling the temperatures on streets and sidewalks.
In the coming weeks, the city has decided to remove more than 1,000 palms as a part of 22 already- scheduled construction projects; 891 new palms will be planted. Under the project, the city will also remove nearly 500 shade trees, but will later add around 900.
