Dear Friends,
I write to enlist your support of an initiative that has personal significance for me. Back in 2005, I was a recipient of an Amy High Scholarship to support my study of Latin in Rome with Reginald Foster. Since that time, I have worked to give back to the fund through my own contributions and through my efforts as an organizing participant in fundraisers to support this cause. Our last fundraiser was in 2008 and the fund has become seriously depleted since that time.
A new fundraiser is currently underway as explained in the following link: http://www.latin.org/AmyHighFellowship/ Please join me in making a contribution. Your donation is 100% tax deductible and it’s easy to do via the link to PAYPAL at the end of Nancy’s letter.
$ 2800 new additional dollars are needed between now and the end of November for the campaign to be on track. Your contribution in any amount, large or small, will help us get there. In addition to your donation, your help is needed to spread the word to your friends and colleagues and to anyone you think would be interested in contributing to this cause.
Please forward this message and consider going a step further to follow up and make sure that those who profess interest in making a contribution actually follow through and do so.
