8th meeting minutes, 2/6/2011

As we discussed the other day, here are the preliminary set up for our team. For those who were unable to come the other day, you can decide later:)

Currently we are organizing a seminar on 2/15, the invited speakers are Chen, Yongsong and Hua, Ying (see below); I have attached the minutes for our 7th meeting....which I think I forgot to post....

7^th CEN meeting，Jan 23^rd, 2011

Xiaojian’s update：

在国内的一些connection，建立了其他的chapter：武汉大学， etc。 会有学生组团过来。

美国这边有，UM, MSU, cornell，berkeley。。。

Mission：通过创新创业来改变社会。均衡的发展，可持续的发展。

有johnson sustainability center的支持，今年要在cornell办年会。

今年要办一些workshop，开展由商学院老师来介绍一些methods，理念，来让学生们进行定期的活动。

Project：水技术项目，有机茶项目，农村教育，etc。每个chapter主导一个跟中国大学一起做，cornell想做绿色建筑的项目。我们的hotel school很好。

CEN是一个中美之间的平台，提供很多的资源。学生可以做很多事情，支持学生的职业发展，绿色建筑，农业可持续发展,etc。老师，学者也可以对此加以应用。

 

今年的工作重点：

四个平台：年会论坛，project，leadership for social innovation（针对学生），全球的社会创新大赛（明年）。

年会：会议3天，周五周六周日。周日是一个PE过来选看项目。周五上午是CEN内部会议，中国校长和美国校长们的roundtable。还可以考虑市长论坛。

Keynote speaker：联合国经济署的中国人，yunzhu.

Team建设，CO-president，VP。Leadership team， Qilu来联系一下。

Leilei和yunzhu把sponsorship的proposal放到CEN上，xiaojian和李昊再update。KEYNOTE SPEAKER：想请，林毅夫；中国驻美张大使。国内consulting公司的一把手们。可以做成career fair。
