Remember how I kept saying I'd probably send a rare mid-month
newsletter in September, then October, then November, and never
actually did? Well, by George, I'm doing it now in December!

I wanted to let you know about a couple of things:

First, "Easy Pickings", the Joanne Walker-Jane Yellowrock crossover
novella that Faith Hunter and I have been working on, is finally
available for sale! It'll go up on Amazon later this (week, I hope),
but right now there's a fans-only sale going on at my website and at
Faith's: you can get the PDF of "Easy Pickings" for $1.99, a dollar
cheaper than it'll be on Amazon and other online retailers!

You can buy that here: http://cemurphy.net/archives/766 -- but please
read all the instructions! Paypal will give you a link to click back
on so you can download the novella, so don't forget to do that part!
:)

Second, I wanted to remind people that I'm doing a short story
commission *in time for Christmas* this year, in support of fantasy
editor, artist and writer Terri Windling, whose family is in financial
straits.

Right now that short story commission is resting at $200, but here's
the thing: the current high bidder is Bill Schafer, the dude who owns
Subterranean Press! Now, I actually think this is pretty clever and
funny of him, but do you *really* want to let the chance for a
commissioned CE Murphy short story get away to a publisher who could
buy one from me at any time? I'm just sayin'! So check that out at

http://magick4terri.livejournal.com/57825.html

and maybe make a bid!

Happy Holidays, everybody!
