Hello, gentle readers!

I have just remembered I have a mailing list. :)

Admittedly, most of the reason I've forgotten is that it's been an unusually slow year for me, what with there being quite a long delay between MOUNTAIN ECHOES and SHAMAN RISES, the final book of the Walker Papers, which is out in July 2014! (Did you see the cover? It's glorious! http://mizkit.com/shaman-rises/)

In the meantime, though, I've finished the pulp fiction novel STONE'S THROE for Evil Hat Productions/Spirit of the Century. That was a lot of fun to write, and I'm even kinda hoping that when it comes out (sometime later this year!) that it'll be so popular I get to write another. :)

I'm also doing a crowdfund project! I'm working on MAGIC & MANNERS, which is what happens when I get it into my head to wonder what PRIDE & PREJUDICE would be like if it was not a lack of wealth that beleaguered the Bennet sisters, but rather an excess of magic.

Patreon is a very different system from Kickstarter--instead of being one big project for one (comparatively) big donation, it's meant to support many small projects through many small donations. I'm running it so each chapter is a small project, and the goal is to post one chapter a week, so if you feel moved to donate a dollar--or even a dime!--per chapter, Patreon is your place to do it!

Let's see. With the Walker Papers wrapping up, I'm working on proposals for a couple of new projects, both of which are wildly different from anything I've done before. I might even be prepared to talk about them in the next month or two, but right now I'm only ready to say "there's new stuff in the works!" :)
