Introduction
Sam Aaron
I'd like to introduce myself too - I'm Sam Aaron and I guess I'm a
member the software side of the society. I've been recently trying to
kick off a SuperCollider User Group but noticed a lot of commonality
with Neil's Synth DIY, so together we formed CEMSOC - a happy gathering
of all people that enjoy synthesising electronic music either with
hardware, software or both.
I'm currently working as a postdoc at the University of Cambridge
looking into the communication between performer and musical processes.
I'm working with a lisp (Clojure) front end to SuperCollider along with
external hardware interfaces such as the monome and a 3D mouse.
My background is programming so I'm frantically trying to wrap my head
around the crazy world that is digital signal processing. I'm therefore
very excited to meet people with more knowledge and experience than me
in this area.
