Hi all,
Thanks to everyone who turned up last night to the first CEMSoc pub
meet. I think it went very well for a first meet.
In attendance we had: myself, Sam, Phil, Richard, Marc, Tuukka, and a
guest appearance by some chap (who's name I forget!) who was involved
in Thatched Cottage Audio from years back.
I arrived at bang-on 7.30pm, to meet Tuukka and Phil. During the
course of the evening discussion topics ranged from why hardware
filters sound different, a demonstration of a monome and SuperCollider
from Sam, why semiconductors cost so much to design and manufacture
these days, to aliasing and quantisation noise of the SID chip, and
much more for me to list here.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday 8th March, upstairs in the Castle
Inn, 7.30pm.
See you all then!
Cheers,
Neil
