Good morning, all! As most of you know, Smithfield Fair has decided
to play out less this year (and last year) to attend to other projects
and family responsibilities. However, we are still performing
regularly and having a great time. That means each selected show is
VERY special and we've had an amazing time this year and last doing
things like we are.

That said, we've lost a number of performance dates this year - mostly
due to events/venues closing largely due to economics. It has left us
without performances in July and October and that's why I am
contacting you.

Should you know of or having calendar openings for a trio like
Smithfield Fair - guitar/bass/accordion and serious vocals performing
largely original songs, but including some of our Scottish repertoire
(or an all Scottish evening) - we hope you will let us know and
consider Smithfield Fair. We play coffeehouses, house concerts, small
stage venues and festivals - anything but bars/pubs or venues we don't
feel are condusive to the music we present.

Please contact me and we'll work out details and send whatever
materials you may wish for consideration. I certainly appreciate your
help, information or consideration in this and apologize for the
lateness of this request as I know many venues are booked far in
advance. However, cancellations and changes happen and perhaps we can
fill a gap for you or someone you know.

All our best to all of you - peace! dbs

OK - just one more to appropriately end this series of slide-show-type
videos - this one to the Charmer "standard" Goodbye Old Friend, with a
nod to dear Bill Bennett who was Charmer's principal soundman and was
the engineer on this track, co-producer of one album, and lead
guitarist on a track, too. Amazing gentleman - truly. BUT, someone
asked after seeing this if Bill had died. The answer is a resounding
NO! Bill is very much alive and still an amazing soundman and human
being. Hope you enjoy this. dbs

My apologies if you get this more than once. dbs
