*** EVENT NOTIFICATION ***
KSU's STAND chapter (a registered student organization) is hosting Invisible Children on campus Monday, July 13th, at 6:30 p.m. in the University Rooms to premiere the new documentary "The Rescue of Joseph Kony's Children."
This documentary explores the work of high school and college-age students to engage individuals in advocacy work regarding the civil war in northern Uganda and the terror of the Lord's Resistance Army. Unlike previous Invisible Children documentaries, this one focuses less on the conflict in Uganda and more on the work of American students to engage in a social issue and make a meaningful difference. It is inspiring, informative, and very timely.
STAND hopes you and your classes will be able to attend this free screening. Faith Riley, a Kennesaw State alumna who was chosen to be an Invisible Children roadie this fall, will be there to answer questions about how students can work with the organization.
FREE PIZZA WILL BE SERVED! Please help spread the word to interested students and community members.
Thanks,
Keisha Hoerrner
