And Finally -
Thanksgiving is a time in which we intentionally set aside time with friends and loved ones to count our many blessings, blessings both great and small, and to give praise to God for providing us with such blessings. As I think about the blessing it has been for me to be your friend and minister, I am immediately drawn to Psalm 133.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Psalm 133:
Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity!
It is like the precious oil on the head,
running down on the beard,
on the beard of Aaron,
running down on the collar of his robes!
It is like the dew of Hermon,
which falls on the mountains of Zion!
For there the LORD has commanded the blessing,
life forevermore.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
For allowing me to be your friend… thank you - and thank God.
For allowing me to be your minister… thank you - and thank God.
For committing your hearts to the growth and witness of CELTIC CROSS PCM at Kennesaw State… thank you - and thank God.
My Thanksgiving wish for you:
BE THANKFUL…
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would you have to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something;
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for your difficult times;
For during those times you grow.
Be thankful for each new challenge;
Because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful when you are tired and weary;
Becase that means you have made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for the good things---
But a life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are thankful for setbacks.
So let gratitude turn your negatives into positives;
And your troubles can become your blessings.
