A fresh crop of hopeful singles will enter the pods for Season 5, which will be hosted once again by Nick and Vanessa Lachey. There are new faces, a new city, and the same age-old question: Is love truly blind? The Seattle-based singles from Season 4 seemed to think so, as the three couples who tied the knot during the season are still happily married today. But will this new crew have the same luck? Can they make it out of the pods and down the aisle? Or will they leave the experiment just as single as they started?
According to a report by What's On Netflix, season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender will start filming in Vancouver, Canada, in September 2024 for approximately six months, with a tentative March 2025 wrap date.
Additionally, Netflix cast veteran actors Daniel Dae Kim as the iconic Firelord Ozai and George Takei as Koh the Face Stealer. (Fun fact: Kim voiced two characters in the Avatar world prior, lending his voice to ATLA's General Fong and Hiroshi Sato in its spinoff show The Legend of Korra, and Takei voiced the warden in episode 6 of Book 1 of the original series.)
The main mystery going into season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender is the ruthless Commander Zhao, played by Ken Leung. At the end of season 1, Prince Zuko and Commander Zhao have a major fight during the battle at Agna Qel'a. To save his nephew, Iroh ends up setting Zhao aflame, but we don't technically know if he's actually dead.
One character we know will not be returning for Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 is Princess Yue of the Northern Water Tribe. The Princess, played by Prey star Amber Midthunder, sacrificed herself at the end of season 1 to save the waterbenders and revive the Moon Spirit. But, hey, flashbacks are always an option.
Aside from recurring characters, we can hopefully expect new characters to join the Avatar universe for season 2 of the live-action adaptation. The top priority for fans is earthbender Toph (casting for the character finished on July 5, 2024, so it's safe to assume Netflix has found its Toph) and hopefully The Boulder.
Now, this is the million-dollar question. As mentioned earlier, Gordon Cormier was cast in the titular role of Aang when he was just 11 years old, but by the time the series premiered, he was already 14. Cormier actually shared his initial reservations about being cast as Aang, given his young age, during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
A popular theory as to why the series got a two-season renewal, aside from its undeniable popularity, is to ensure the younger actors still look as close to their character's original ages as possible, especially between season 2 and 3. However, they'll still have to find a way to address the changes between season 1 and 2 and, of course, all signs point to some sort of time jump.
Again, production for season 2 has not yet started, so at the moment, there's no trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2. However, we do have a few trailers for season 1, one of which you can watch below.
Though we at first thought it'd be an extremely faithful reimagining, much like the case with the live-action One Piece series, there are actually a lot of differences between the original Nickelodeon series and Netflix's live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. As we have mentioned throughout this story, most of the differences seem to be related to timelines and timeframes, which is expected from a live-action retelling. Some of the plot details are also being adapted, but deep down, the core of the show remains faithful to its predecessor.
That said, the first and foremost main difference is that the original show's creators are not a part of the Netflix adaptation. Although Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko were originally on board the production, they left in 2020 due to creative differences with the studio.
Season 6 of Drive To Survive will be released on February 23, 2024, coinciding with the final day of pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit. That will serve as ideal viewing before the opening round at the same venue a week later.
The final episodes of "Bridgerton" season 3 will be released on Netflix at 3 a.m. on Thursday. Episodes 5-8 will continue with Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton's romance, which left fans on the edge of their seats following the iconic carriage scene and a proposal to Penelope in episode 4, which was released with the rest of part 1 on May 16.
Part 1 of season 3 of "Bridgerton" ended on a cliffhanger, leaving fans wondering if Penelope will accept Colin's proposal, reveal her identity as Lady Whistledown and make amends with her best friend and Colin's sister, Eloise Bridgerton.
No. Penelope, played by Irish actress Nicola Coughlan, and Colin, played by Luke Newton, British actor, are both publicly single. However, some fans speculate there's something more going on behind the scenes.
"We think it's really sweet because we truly love each other," Coughlan said."He is a really special person in my life, and I got to do this experience with him. I'll never get to do something like this again, on this scale, like are you kidding me? We're here in New York City having our premiere, so it's so nice having such a lovely friend that I can do all of this with." Continue reading with The Courier Journal.
The show "Bridgerton" is based on an eight-book series written by Julia Quinn. The first two seasons of the show closely follow the first two books in Quinn's series, titled "Bridgerton: The Duke & I" and "Bridgerton: The Viscount Who Loved Me." The first book follows the relationships of Simon Basset and Daphne, while the second features Anthony and Kate Sheffield. In the show, Kate's last name is Sharma.
The third novel of Quinn's series, "Bridgerton: An Offer From A Gentleman," is all about Benedict's romance with Sophie Beckett, which was skipped in season 3 of the show. Rather, the Netflix series placed an emphasis on the fourth book, highlighting Penelope Featherington's relationship with Colin Bridgerton. Learn more from The Courier Journal.
Taking the spotlight this season will be Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and her longtime crush and good friend Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). Things didn't end well for the two last season after Penelope heard Colin tell his friends that he would never court her. To top it off, Penelope had a falling out with her best friend Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), after the former realized Penelope was the town gossip, Lady Whistledown.
In Season 3, Penelope gives up her crush on Colin and decides that it's time for her "to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters," according to Netflix.
"Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season," Netflix says. "But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly."
Today we were able to confirm with Netflix that all 20 episodes of the second season of Star Trek: Prodigy will arrive on Netflix on Monday, July 1. Releasing all 20 episodes at the same time is quite different than the first season, which was released weekly in two 10-episode groups; the first half streamed on Paramount+ from October 2021 to February 2022, and part two ran from October to December 2022.
The season 2 Netflix release includes the USA and the countries where Prodigy season 1 is available. Like with the first season, the second will not be available in Canada and select countries in Europe where SkyShowtime is available (the Nordics, Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Central and Eastern Europe). TrekMovie has also confirmed that (as with season 1) SkyShowtime will be streaming season 2, but they have not confirmed a release date. As for Canada, we are still trying to confirm if season 2 will be treated like season 1 and air on CTV Sci-Fi, also available on demand via the CTV app for subscribers of CTV Sci-Fi.
Note: Prodigy has been licensed to broadcasters around the world, including countries where it will stream on Netflix (like on France TV). We hopefully will be able to provide updates on more local broadcasters, but for now we recommend checking local listings.
But can we please stop turning everything into a childless fight and making everything so personal? One guy got banned very recently because he seemed to think anyone saying something negative about Discovery was somehow a personal dig at him. Just bizarre and obsessive on an extreme level.
I am of the firm belief that we should all be able to express our enjoyment or dislike of any series/character/storyline without being labelled as a troll simply because it is a differing opinion to the majority.
Considering that Prodigy got cancelled for low ratings, I doubt your views are very mainstream. Most of the views here are in the minority. In reality the show fail to attract the demographics it was made for and has been swept aside and the episodes are to be burned off on Netflix. I apologize for being a realist.
New to Netflix? You can opt for an ad-free or ad-supported plan to watch all of Bridgerton and the spin-off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Note that if you choose Netflix's $7 per month plan with ads, some titles will be off-limits due to licensing restrictions (the Sydney Sweeney-starring rom-com Anyone but You is one example). Read more about the streamer in our review.
Bridgerton is set in London in the early 1800s (well, a fantasy version) and has rotated between the romances of Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset/the Duke of Hastings (Reg-Jean Page), and Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley). Now, Colin (Luke Newton), the third Bridgerton son, and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), the third Featherington daughter, are finally the main characters, and audiences will find out "how (or if...)" they go from friends to lovers, according to Netflix.
