Despite having their own press conference yesterday, Bethesda softworks announced that Xbox One owners will able to enjoy PC mods for free on their console. The news is a big change for console owners and will likely change the console experience.
NOTE: Every single weapon now has a vanilla backup! This means that none of the mods are strictly necessary anymore, but keep in mind that some of the vanilla versions will look pretty inaccurate compared to the mod versions, but should function roughly the same.
Due to the very unique and varied firearms in Siege, this character uses many different mods to recreate every gun in Siege. The mods are listed in order of importance. Prioritize the ones at the top of the lists! If you don't want to install any, no sweat! Every gun listed here has a vanilla gun counterpart that will replace it if the mod is missing.
Note that since Ubisoft shut down the official online service for Raven Shield, and since they locked out custom modifications in patch 1.6, unofficial methods are required for playing with mods or connecting to online servers. Before installing most of these mods, you will need to patch your game with the unofficial OpenRVS patch. Choose one of the two options below:
These mods install using the same system as the official Ubisoft expansions Athena Sword and Iron Wrath; the associated files and folders are placed in the Ravenshield > Mods folder. To use the mod, you go to the Options menu, choose Custom Game, and activate the mod of choice. This system means that these mods will not interfere with online gaming or cause any modifications to the game's default files.
Note: When installing singleplayer mods that do not use the expansion system, you run the risk of preventing connection to online servers! This risk especially applies when using a mod that modifies vanilla game files! Where applicable, the risk is noted below.
