whats a rar? how to download

(experienced programmer-new to java and mobiles)
My phone dont know .rar. it downloads to a folder ok but "?" means theres no app to open .rar. same when on pc - i know its a package but windows doesnt know how to open it. even if pc did know, my phone wont download by bluetooth. maybe if file was .jar phone would know its an app.
wonderful seeming app, 1st i,ve wanted to download.
also, i think my phone wont download java anyway but thats a phone prob. (locked in a walled garden maybe?).

Hi,

 

Download Winrar program and extract the package using Winrar.

Then install jar on the phone using Nokia PC Suite.
