Hey Mike,

statefulness got extracted to a separate gem apotomo-stateful, which
will be released with a simple session state-engine in a couple of
days.

Have you considered a more persistent state engine that survives sessions? I'm thinking of "global site configuration" as a use case here, and have an interest in an implementation. What do you think?

Conceptionally, yes: https://github.com/apotonick/apotomo-stateful/ However, haven't worked on implementing it.

Yes, I've gleaned that gem already -- it's where my question comes from. I guess I'm asking (without reading through the gem yet) is whether that framework will support this or stand in the way a bit. Thanks!

Well this gem is supposed to support statefulness with various session engines. This implies having a database session or whatever - is that what you're after?

It's the general direction. This is more of a global session -- for the entire app. It would be used for storing data like a site's name or it's slogan, for instance. The idea being that it's still pulled from the DB but is closer to a global variable. Once changed, all users will see the change (with a grain of salt).
