Hi All,
Is there anyone having the same experience like me with Aqua-Tek?
The plumber from Aqua-Tek told me last night that he would be back to finish
fixing  pipe leakage in the hallway this morning at around 9am but he
didn't show up. Therefore, my neighbor and my family couldn't
use kitchen sinks since last night. This Aqua-Tek service center left me a message at 11:30am
to inform that the plumber will be coming tomorrow and asking me to be home.
The plumber has told me last night that the leaking was not from my garage and
I didn't need to be present while he came back. I could have used my sink
after I saw no Aqua-Tek truck at 11am this morning because last night the plumber
has spent two hours on fixing the drainpipe leakage and this morning from 9am to 11am
was another two hour working time. What's wrong with this vendor? It is also obvious
that the water is dripping on the hallway wall but not in my garage. Why bother to
cut my garage ceiling first but not the hallway ceiling? Did Aqua-Tek communicate
with their plumbers?

Yuck, sorry to hear you had trouble with them. I used them a few months ago and the service was fine and prompt. I also liked that, as a vendor that our management company works with frequently, they knew their way around our complex.

AquaTek is a well reputed Company, we have been using them for a long time. They are efficient and have knowledgeble Licensed plumbers. They do know our complex well.
I had a detailed conversation last thursday morning with the 2 plumbers who came here to work on the Kitchen Line that has an Internal wall Leak from upper Unit all the way down....
They have to cut sheetrock in diff areas sometimes to locate the exact problem.
I understand your inconvenience, but sometimes these things are not as simple as you think.
We have been having water circulation issues, so the garages are checked first.
The Management Co, the HOA Board and our Vendors work together to keep this place well maintained.

Please do have patince with Aquatek, they are working to make things right the best they can.
Thanks,
Nina

It is for sure that AquaTek sevice center don't communicate with their plumbers.
How could the plumber told the residnets coming back the next morning at 9am
but didn't show or neither call at 9am to change the schedule. By judging the type
of work and hours they have done and take for the breezeway, the first plumber simply
waste 2 hours on inspection and another 2 hours was taken to fix the problem
two days later. What a waste on association money!

Taimei,
How easy do you think it is for the Plumbers to pinpoint the leak site, when they have to check the entire Kitchen Line from the upper unit, thru the lower unit and all the way down, inside walls. They need time to do so.
Once identified they were here thursday to fix.
Association does not waste money, we have a very efficient Management Co. now, who make sure things get done right.
If things are not satisfactory for you, why dont you join the Board and give some time in making sure things work like you want them to. Please be aware, we Board member also give of our time and efforts to help run this place well, including on weekends!

A little appreciation and gratitude would be welcome!
Thanks,

If you all want to know how our HOA Association money is wasted, it is due to some Homeowners who Leave large things like the Matress that has currently been left at the Dumpster, Inspite of repeatedly letting folks know NOT to do so.
If anyone knows who left it there, please tell me, and I will go deal with it.
Otherwaise HOA has to Pay extra to Los Altos Garbage to get these large Items specially taken away! We have had this in Newsletters several times, but people dont want to pay the $$ charge to get it dumped! HOA has to pay for it!

We have had very good service from this company. Having been in the construction business I rate them very high. However, some problems are more challenging than others and this sounds as if they were trying to find the source of a problematic leak. As the buildings age we're likely to find such problems as some of the corners cut during construction 25 years ago start rearing their ugly heads. It's hard to be patient when you loose some of the fundamental conveniences for a day or so.
