Using mesos/marathon as broker

Hello,

I've got a django app that uses celery with RabbitMQ as the broker.
We're investigating the possibility of moving our app onto mesos
(actually, DC/OS).

Has there ever been any discussion on adding mesos as a broker for
celery? It seems silly to install RabbitMQ onto mesos when mesos
itself is a task runner. If so, I haven't been able to find any
information on it. If not, is there developer documentation somewhere
that would show me what it would take to implement mesos as a broker...
or would looking at the RabbitMQ/Redis broker implementations be the
best way to see how you're creating brokers? Where in the source code
should I look if the latter is the case?
