May 1, 2008 (Raleigh, NC) – It wasn’t easy, but after many tries, Lulu
creator Micha Berman finally got the call. He had 48 hours to get to
Miami to board the cruise ship the M.S. Ecstasy. Berman wasn’t going
on a short vacation. He landed his dream job – working on a cruise
ship. With Lulu.com, Berman shares his story of life aboard the
luxury liner in Permanent Passenger: My Life on a Cruise Ship (http://
www.lulu.com/content/1082309).

Using online self-publishing technology at Lulu.com, Berman was able
to share his cruise ship tales with ease. He got the idea to use
Lulu.com after noticing how interested his friends and family were in
his cruise ship tales. “After working for a cruise line on one of
their largest ships, I realized there were zero books about life
behind the scenes on a cruise ship,” says Berman. “I have struggled
for years to get this story out. Lulu made that dream possible and now
people across the country are laughing at this unique zany story.”

Berman gives readers an all access pass to life at sea, and shares
hilarious tales, like how he got the job by chasing a cruise line
executive into the bathroom, and his first onboard romance, which
involved a passenger looking for the buffet and too much champagne.
He also tells high drama tales of stowaways, deaths and rescues at
sea. “I am floating on clouds. I worked a long time to get this story
out, and I am getting overwhelming support and incredible feedback on
the book,” said Berman.

A born adventurer, Berman has backpacked through Vietnam, traveled to
the Farallon Islands to rendezvous with great white sharks, swam from
Alcatraz to the San Francisco Bay, and ran multiple marathons. He is
currently a commercial voiceover artist, and working on his next book
about his travels to the poorest areas of South Africa’s Mozambique.
