Korea 'Worst Country' for Widows, Divorcees

In the poll, which was released by WPO to commemorate International Widows Day on Monday, 81 percent of respondents said there is at least some discrimination against widows in Korean society. Turkey and Palestine were a distant second and third with 70 and 61 percent respectively, and Nigeria and China were next with 58 and 54 percent. Even in India, which has a reputation for mistreatment of Hindu widows, only 35 to 42 percent of respondents answered that discrimination exists. Click here for detail
