Without updating URLs, the native android back button needs to be disabled; the back button is generally used to go back to the previous screen, however in reality it goes to the previous URL. If you use custom states for app navigation that wont work, as the URL never changed.

But most annoyingly, Page refreshes will send the user back to the homescreen, or even worse, back to a payment accepted notice/invite screen/ whatever link they used to get on the app at the beginning of their session. This problem is made worse by the fact that searches sometimes get cached/ websockets get severed, and the most reliable way to update searches would be to refresh the page.

My main question though, is why url params are bad? Is it simply because of your workflows that will run on page-load, or does it have more to do with workflows that bubble itself decides to run on page-load.

If you are asking that once you designate a page as mobile the answer is yes. Bubble allows you to designate one page as mobile and will detect when a user is on a mobile device. If on mobile the user will not be shown the index page but the mobile page that you designate as so.

Depends on the type of app. If it is a tool used by a team or company and you do not need to sell the features of your app to anyone then go with a mobile designed page instead of a responsive index page.

Hello, I have created my bubble app and designed the frontend on bubble and am getting ready to launch but I have only built and designed to look nice on desktop browser. How can I easily convert or re design to look nice on mobile browser? I was told to create a clone page and optimize that for mobile (380 width). Then go to the settings of my desktop page, and set the clone page to my mobile version. I feel as if this would create laggy servers with double workflows and was looking for a more efficient way.

It depends on the density of texts and groups on your site, in most cases the difference will not be noticeable (plus still plays a big role as a browser makes an upskale). I prefer to do the minimum width and adjust the responsiveness settings.

Hi @richclunan, I am new here also but I figured out that is eventually less work to make an app responsive than doing a version for mobile and another to the web.
Not only that.
The app feels the same way across platforms so who knows your app in a mobile does not need to figure out where are the links in a desktop version and vice-versa.
And, even if you make a page that looks good in a mobile upright, it is still going to look weird in a mobile landscape version and vice-versa.
Responsive is the way to go in my opinion.

I have started trying the new responsiveness feature. However, I am having an issue with the workflows. I created a simple workflow to navigate between pages when clicking a button. These buttons work fine on the destop but does not on the mobile view.

I am on a Pixel 6, and for whatever reason when i press the buttons (yellow and red on the first page) they do not seem to be working on that mobile. it just does nothing. but does on my desktop. thank you for checking. I will test it on a few other places and see what I can do.

This is my second app, but this is the first time I have used more responsive designs. Why do you think I think its not working? Its doing what I want on the destop, but its not doing what I want on two different mobiles. So I am not sure. Anything really.

So I created a test page, and some test buttons from scratch and they seem to work. so I assume somewhere along the lines when I was fiddling with the different elements I had clicked something which interacted with mobile view. FYI, FlutterFlow is a pretty great alternative to Bubble.io in building mobile apps in terms of functionalities. Bubble.io is preferable for apps that need quick pivoting (changes are made real-time to end users without having to rebuild the app and to require users to update their apps) yet it is incomparable to FlutterFlow and other mobile app builders in terms of UX. Fair trade off I think.

Objectives: Traditional methods of assessing joint range of motion (ROM) involve specialized tools that may not be widely available to clinicians. This study assesses the reliability and validity of a custom Smartphone application for assessing hip joint range of motion.

Methods: Passive hip joint range of motion was recorded for seven different movements in 20 males on two separate occasions. Data from a Smartphone, bubble inclinometer and a three dimensional motion analysis (3DMA) system were collected simultaneously. Intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs), coefficients of variation (CV) and standard error of measurement (SEM) were used to assess reliability. To assess validity of the Smartphone application and the bubble inclinometer against the three dimensional motion analysis system, intraclass correlation coefficients and fixed and proportional biases were used.

Results: The Smartphone demonstrated good to excellent reliability (ICCs>0.75) for four out of the seven movements, and moderate to good reliability for the remaining three movements (ICC=0.63-0.68). Additionally, the Smartphone application displayed comparable reliability to the bubble inclinometer. The Smartphone application displayed excellent validity when compared to the three dimensional motion analysis system for all movements (ICCs>0.88) except one, which displayed moderate to good validity (ICC=0.71).
