Do you have 2000+ rpm idle, or unpredictable idle, or misfires? A leaky throttle body and/or stuck idle air control are likely causes. Replace your throttle body, TPS and IAC all in one shot with this brand new unit from Toyota.
If you will not keep the oem rubber pipe, please be advised that for sure the diameter of the 2zz throttle body is much bigger than the one of the 4zz. So you may need to find an adapter which will reduce the size of the pipe before being fitted on the 4zz throttle body.

2) You get a universal T-bolt hose clamp - if not already provided in the kit - (like this: _info.php?pName=universal-tbolt-hose-clamps-x-6-pcs-range-354-2) and you tighten it till the rubber hose is secured on the throttle body. Believe me, it will be just fine even if the rubber hose has bigger diameter. (I have done it on my 4zz throttle body some years ago ).
Keep in mind that the rubber pipe which will be fitted between the throttle body and the aluminium pipe will be loose (having bigger diameter) on the part of the throttle body while you will have to stretch it to fit the part of the aluminium pipe. So, on one end you will have to tighten a lot the clamp (but you don't mind because the throttle body is very strong) while on the other end the job of the other clamp will merely be to hold the pipe in place (so you don't need to tighten the clamp tooo much).
1. Oil is enormously consumed. This is the most common trouble after running 100,000 miles (150,000 km). To sort that out is as easy as ABC. You should do major repairs of the 2ZZ what ever unpleasant it might seem to be.
2. Knocking noise in the engine. The problem is similar to that, which is typical of the 1ZZ. If any, you should buy a brand new timing chain and replace that of you own. It must have strained.
3. If any rough idling, cleanse throttle body units and idle run valves. While doing that thing, you should check everything.
Besides that, the VVTL-i system needs servicing each 30,000 miles (50,000 km) of mileage. Without doing so, the system may come to a halt and decrease in its capacity can occur after working at 6,000 rpm. 2ZZ-GE engine lifespan resembles that of the 1ZZ and reaches about 120,000 miles (200,000 km) of mileage at average. Having reached such a rate of running, you will probably face a need of complete overhaul. Otherwise, you must purchase a new 2ZZ engine.
Power gains are highly dependent on other work carried out to the engine. As with any induction modifications the throttle body kits will better compliment an engine that has had an exhaust manifold and system upgrade as a minimum. Camshafts and headwork will of course further benefit the power and torque curves. A typical healthy 2.0 Ford Zetec (standard 135bhp) will see 165-170bhp with an ITB kit and free flowing exhaust when correctly mapped.
