Is it possible to download all orinigal files from my lightroom cloud at the same time? I can download seperate files, but I can't find an option to download a batch. Is there any other way to get my original files on my harddrive? Since I have over 600 files, one by one download is not really an option.
Now I have tried exporting original + setting from the desktop version, but I get the following error "images could not be exported at the size you req...ed becuase we couldn't access the full size original." Strange, because I am able to download the original files from the online version, just not more than one at the time. Any idea what could be a reason for this error?
The usual cause of that problem is that the image that you are exporting was synced originally from Lightroom Classic, and Classic only uploads smart previews, not the full res original. Smart Previews are 2560px max on the long edge, so any attempt to export a larger size than that (such as trying to export "Original + Settings") will fail because the original is not stored in the cloud.
Downloading from the web version has the same limitations, but there you don't get the choice....if the source file is a smart preview the download will only offer a 2048px long edge jpeg download. If the original is available in the cloud, LR Web will offer both the 2048px option and a full-size option.
By the way, there is a workaround for the issue of only being able to download one image at a time from your LrWeb app. Provided you've set the album to be shared, and in the settings have enabled the download option, open the share settings and click on the share URL....that will open a new window in your browser, giving you the view that your user's would see if they had access. In the window, click on the tri-dot icon left of the avatar, select Download and it will download the entire contents of the album into a zipped folder.
I managed to get the originals now, by importing the images to lightroom Classic through Syncing and then exporting. Thanks for pointing out the Syncing option ;-). I originally imported the files with CC; that's why I find it strange that CC gives that error. Also you'd expect an option for batch downloading in the web version, right?..
To eliminate potential double entry of Grade Center data, you can perform offline grading and import grades into the Grade Center. You can also upload grades from external sources such as a spreadsheet or a comma-separated values (CSV) file. You must format data specifically to upload correctly and to synchronize with existing Grade Center data.
After you download the file and open it in the appropriate editing software, you can make changes. If you download the full Grade Center, you can change and add grades, and save the file for uploading. If you downloaded a single column, you can add or change grades and comments, and save the file for uploading.
Four comment-related columns are included in the downloaded file. If you added comments online, those will be included in the download. Otherwise, you may add comments offline and upload them to the full Grade Center to appear in the Quick Comments feature or the Manually Override tab.
To synchronize external data to Grade Center data, unique identifiers are necessary for each student and for each column in the Grade Center. The unique identifier used for each student is the student's username. The unique identifier for each column is a column ID number. Column ID numbers are generated by the system and shouldn't be changed or deleted. Columns that don't have column ID numbers in an uploaded file will create new columns in the Grade Center.
The format of the data file uploaded to the Grade Center is determined by the type of delimiter you use to parse the data into separate columns. Data files are tab-delimited with a file extension of XLS or comma-delimited with a file extension of CSV.
When you upload data to the Grade Center, we recommend that you use tab-delimited files. When you use tab-delimited files, you don't have to use quote characters and you can open the files directly in Microsoft Excel.
To obtain a file that's formatted correctly for uploading, download the full Grade Center first and open it in a text editor or spreadsheet application. Existing columns have column ID numbers that must be included in future uploads.
Batch files are TXT files that hold large quantities of information to upload to the system. Each batch utility contains specific instructions on creating the batch file. These batch file standards are universal:
Any file you upload that contains an "Incomplete" for a grade entry will be set to null, with no grade or text displayed. Any file you upload that contains "Complete" for a grade entry will be set to an override grade of the maximum points possible (100% for a grade item) in a column that has the primary display of Complete/incomplete. Any file you upload that contains a numeric entry will be a numeric entry.
Review the Data Preview column to check that the correct data is being uploaded. Data that appears incorrectly can denote an improperly formatted file. The data preview only shows a sample of the data in each column in the file.
Prior to uninstalling the PosiTector App or performing a Reset it is recommended that you synchronize/copy measurement data to PosiSoft.net, export to PosiSoft Desktop, or share the batch data (AirPrint or email report). This ensures that the data is saved for future reference.
User Interface
The user interface was designed to combine the proven simplicity of our instruments and the advanced functionality of a smart device's features including touch, swipe, keyboard, camera and more. The interface will be instantly recognizable to those familiar with our PosiTector series of instruments.
Toggle the SmartLink Lock within the Setup menu to lock the PosiTector Advanced to a smart device. You will have to unlock it if you want to wirelessly connect to another smart device. Un-toggle to use the PosiTector Advanced with another smart device (default).
Auto Sync
When toggled on; measurement data, images, nature of fracture and notes will automatically synchronize with PosiSoft.net. Synchronization occurs every time batch data changes (new reading, note, photo, etc.).
Zotfile is a Zotero plugin to manage your attachments: automatically rename, move, and attach PDFs (or other files) to Zotero items, sync PDFs from your Zotero library to your (mobile) PDF reader (e.g. an iPad, Android tablet, etc.) and extract annotations from PDF files.
ZotFile can rename and add the most recently modified file from the Firefox download or a user specified folder as a new attachment to the currently selected Zotero item. It renames the file using metadata from the selected Zotero item (user configurable), and stores the file as a Zotero attachment to this item (or alternatively, moves it to a custom location).
The user can also select any number of Zotero items and automatically rename and move all attachments of these items according to the user defined rules using metadata of the respective zotero item (batch processing).
To read and annotate PDF attachments on your mobile device, zotfile can sync PDFs from your Zotero library to your (mobile) PDF reader (e.g. an iPad, Android tablet, etc.). Zotfile sends files to a location on your PC or Mac that syncs with your PDF reader App (PDF Expert, iAnnotate, GoodReader etc.), allows you to configure custom subfolders for easy access, and even extracts the annotations and highlighted text to Zotero notes when you get the files back from your tablet. Instructions are below.
After highlighting and annotating pdfs on your tablet (or with the PDF reader application on your computer), ZotFile can automatically extract the highlighted text and note annotations from the pdf. The extracted text is saved in a Zotero note. Thanks to Joe Devietti, this feature is now available on all platforms based on the pdf.js library.
To read and annotate PDF attachments on your mobile device, zotfile can sync PDFs from your Zotero library to your (mobile) PDF reader (e.g. an iPad, Android tablet, etc.). For this purpose, Zotfile sends files to a location on your PC or Mac that syncs with your PDF reader App (PDF Expert, iAnnotate, GoodReader etc.), and gets them back when you have finished reading them.
Set up a folder on your PC or Mac that syncs with your tablet reader application. Files that are copied to this folder should automatically appear in your PDF reader application. One possibility is Dropbox, which is free for up to 2GB of space and works with most PDF reader apps. More detailed instructions as well as alternative options should be available on the website of your PDF reader App.
All wildcards are now defined in the hidden preference zotfile.wildcards.default and can be changed by the user. But I strongly suggest that you do not change this preference. Instead, there is a second hidden preference zotfile.wildcards.user that allows you to add and overwrite wildcards (hidden preference can be changed in about:config). This is a preference is for advanced user without any error checking so be careful what you do! By default, zotfile.wildcards.user is set to so that no user wildcards are defined. Below is an example JSON that defines wildcards for %1, %2, %3, %4 illustrating all the possibilities:
ZotFile uses the specified field as an input string and then applies the transformations specified in operations. The value of field can either be the name of a Zotero field (see 1) or a javascript object with item type specific field names (see 2). operations is an array of javascript objects and supports three types of transformations that are identified by the function element:
exec: Search for matches using regular expressions (%3). Zotfile uses the exec() function based on the regular expression defined in regex, and returns the element specified in group so that 0 returns the matched text and higher values the corresponding capturing parenthesis. If the match fails, this operation returns the input data.
