For me, if Cakewalk is on, then no audio will play from other windows, like a youtube video for example. I can't watch a tutorial with Cakewalk in the background. Cakewalk itself can playback sound just fine, but every other application is muted. Fix?
If I was working in audio, Cakewalk would render it. But I am working in MIDI. I like the sounds on my Kurzweil, so I am playing the Cakewalk songs thru my Kurzweil and recording them back into my computer into Audacity.

What Audio Interface are you using?
I am using RME UFX II and with this interface there is a loopback option.
This way the physical output can be mirrored as an physical input.
This way I can route audio coming from Gig Performer latency free into an input that can be seen by my DAW - I am using Ableton Live.
I tried to record using DAW.
I connected USB cable to my windows pc and set up within cakewalk.
I could select input 1 for dry signal. But when I tried to select Input 3/4 in cakewalk audio track, it was not shown in the selection menu.
USB output 3 and USB output 4 was displayed, but even if I chose these, processed signal were not recorded. I could record dry signal.
Do you know the reason?
The latter was a lite version limited to 25 tracks and 1 MIDI output port. The Express version was sometimes bundled with hardware such as a sound card. Cakewalk was a purely MIDI based sequencer: Although it could trigger WAV files at certain points, more comprehensive audio support was not incorporated until the advent of Cakewalk Pro Audio when true support for digitized audio was added.

Hi guys! I just fresh installed windows on a new hard drive. I finished installing all my drivers, including the Radeon software. The standalone version of Vital works fine. Any step I am missing?
