Hey all,

So I've had everything in for some time now, but I still have not been issued a license or have heard anything from the college. One time (about 1 month ago) I went in and was given a case number. I remember people talking about being able to check their status online, can I do this using just a case number? (I don't believe so).

Also tried emailing, calling, and showing up in person, I have absolutely not been able to reach anyone. Over the phone I wait for 15 minutes and then I'm put to voice mail. In person they tell me to call.

Anyone in a similar position... or should I just give up now and go to clown college?

thanks in advance

Phil

Hi Phil,

Clown college is always a viable option but I don't think its for you. You are supposed to get an email with your case number and password for the online status check. You can try logging in with your Case number E#### and your date of birth ddmmyyyy, I think that is the temporary password.

I had to call them and ask them to send that email, they hadn't put my date of birth into the application for some reason so the email was never sent to me. You should be able to either log in using the temporary password or call them and tell them you can't check the online status. I would def check that up because any outstanding documents are listed on the online status check.

Good luck

Hi!
I got my license last week, surprisingly. When it happened, all my
info from CPSO registration website disappeared... Worried, I entered
my name into the physician's search and found myself and my new CPSO#.
It took few days for PGME office to display it as well on my POWER
account. I never got any CPSO emails during that time.

Hey Phil,

Talha has told you what you need to know to log into the CPSO website to check your application status and I would follow up on that. CPSO is not the best in communication so I would not wait for them to respond to mail/ in person visits. The best way to find out what's going on is to keep calling them and though we all know how unresponsive they can be in answering them, its the fastest and most direct way to find out the details. Also, search in your spam mail if you ever received a mail from them because they send one within 2-3 weeks of receiving your application naming a person (or mail from the person themselves) who would be responsible for your documents so you have a direct number to call instead of being lost in the queue at their general helpline. Also, confirm which email address you have sent them for contact because a friend of mine sent her university one, forgot all about it and was wondering why she isn't receiving any mail from them on her gmail account!
Hope this helps! All the best!

thanks for the responses!

soooo, I actually finally got a hold of them over the phone, WHAT ARE THE ODDS! They have no record of my transcript which I dropped off personally. So I showed up personally with it again, gave them quite the talking too "I may loose my job, blah blah blah", apparently the person looking after my case felt sorry and is rushing through it.

oh and this time the copy of my transcript was not notarized and they said its ok.. go figure!
