The 2nd National Conference of Free Software Movement of India (FSMI),
which will be one of the biggest gatherings of free software
activists, developers, hackers, geeks and students in India, will be
held in Chennai from January 26-29. 2017.
We are happy to announce that B.S. Abdur Rahman University, one of the
reputed universities in Chennai, has agreed to be the Venue Partner
for this event.
This landmark conference will be an occasion to have an exchange of
the activities, discuss on the trajectory of the movement the new
challenges faced by the community. FSMI and its member organisations,
developers and networks will discuss and deliberate on the way forward
with the inputs of experts, policy makers, hacktivists and community
leaders from across the world.
The event will be hosted by Free Software Foundation Tamil Nadu
(FSFTN). FSMI appeals to all the member organizations, donors, patron
and all democratic minded sections of the society to come forward and
extend full support to Free Software Foundation Tamil Nadu (FSFTN) in
the hosting the conference. The founding conference was held at
Bangalore in 2010.
