Hi,
I'm new to cefsharp, and I'm trying to load up a web page via cefsharp. The catch is , that this web page is reachable only via a client certificate.

I am loading up the client certificate by installing it into the local machine cert store, and when i try to go to that web page using the Chrome browser, it shows me a dialog box asking me to select OK and then takes me to the web page

however, when i try it via cefsharp, it doesnt seem to do anything. Maybe it's silently waiting for me to click OK on the dialog (which it cannot show for some reason ?)

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like the right approach to make sure your certificate works.

I found this quite recent thread on the CEF forum: http://www.magpcss.org/ceforum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10822

I'm also rather new to CefSharp and CEF which it builds on. I would try to see if it's doable at the CEF level first. If it is then it should also be possible to do with CefSharp.

Any news on this? It seems like my application is also in trouble now that the "site" decided to migrate to client certificate strategy.

See/follow/vote for by staring the upstream CEF issue mentioned in https://github.com/cefsharp/CefSharp/issues/671 or even better submit a patch to CEF
