Dear MEF,

The next meeting of the Michigan Education Foundation (MEF) is scheduled for Monday, May 1 from 11-2 in Okemos.  Our topic is Email Marketing, and our guest speaker is Candy Jones-Guerin, owner of WebWorld Advantage in Howell, MI (http://webworldadvantage.com/)

Candy’s presentation, which will outline the steps to effective email marketing (see more info below), will run from the start of the meeting through lunch.  Candy is generously agreeing to present this seminar for free, provided we have at least 25 attendees.   At 1:00, we’ll have a brief business meeting to elect the new MEF Board of Directors and Executive Committee, as this is our annual meeting.  We’ll end the session with time for general discussion/questions from the group.  Those who attended the March conference of the National School Foundation Association (NSFA) in Chicago are encouraged to share what they learned at this time.

Lunch:  There will be a sandwich/salad bar lunch buffet available ($8 per person - cash or check to Okemos Public Schools).  This buffet is optional; you can also bring a bagged lunch.  Please note that there are no vending machines available in the building.

Please respond (only if you are able to attend the meeting) by Wednesday, April 26 and let me know if you plan to purchase lunch.  If you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or have another dietary restriction, let me know and we will gladly accommodate your needs.

I look forward to seeing you.  Call or email with any questions.
