ANNOUNCEMENT

On Scholarship Selection to Pursue Bachelor Degree in Higher Education Institutions for the Academic Year 2011-2012.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport wishes to announce to all grade 12 students and the public that in this up-coming academic year 2011-2012 the ministry is going to offer 5924 scholarships to pursue bachelor degree in 38 public and private higher education institutions. There are two types of this scholarship as follows:

Type 1: The government and private institutions scholarship is for 4924 seats. This amount will be divided into 2954 seats for general and outstanding students, 739 seats for female students, 739 seats for poor students, and 492 seats for students in remote area.

Type 2: The Special Priority Scholarship (SPS) for poor students, which is under the Higher Education Quality and Capacity Improvement Project (HEQCIP) funded by the World Bank, is for 1000 scholarships. This scholarship will cover both the tuition fee of the respective higher education institutions and the stipend for the beneficiaries-70 dollars per month for beneficiaries who are doing their degrees in higher education institutions in Phnom Penh and 50 dollars per month for those who are doing their degrees in the other provinces

Criteria, application form, and information of the above two types of scholarship will be directly distributed to all grade 12 students in all high schools, free of charge, from the 3rd of May, 2011. With regards to this, we encourage all grade 12 students to complete the application forms correctly.
