Sukarya is a non-governmental development organization working since 1998 in the field of Health, Women Empowerment and Integrated Rural Development. Sukarya has its presence in four districts of Haryana - Gurgaon, Faridabad, Jhajjar and Mewat through its various programs.
In its effort to empower women economically
and make them self-reliant, Sukarya began by creating Self Help Groups of women
to extend opportunities for finding alternative means of livelihood which was
followed by establishment of Spice Unit, an option of viable
livelihood for the women of economically and socially backward sections. It was
made possible through the entrepreneurship training and upgrading the skills of
women from rural communities of Gurgaon.
This has been a modest step by Sukarya towards assisting women of marginalized communities in generating additional income for meeting their household needs, by utilizing their skills in the production of un-adulterated spices. We would like to expand this initiative with the vision to make many more women economically and socially empowered. In this regard we like to request you, to consider the same and allow us to put the stall in your office premises for selling the products made by the women of rural areas. Your support will be a factor of motivation for them for becoming self-reliant.
At present, Sukarya is facilitating 11 Self Help groups and
3 Spice & Cereal Processing Units wherein women are engaged in
preparing the various consumables like spices, cereals, flours, Dalia,
pickles, chutneys etc. and facilitating in marketing of such products through
corporate like HCL Infosystems, Godfrey Philips India, Aegis, Punj Lloyd, Grant Thornton, PNB MetLife etc.; Social organizations like Charities
Aid Foundation, Sukarma and residential societies like Silver Oaks, Hamilton
Court and Regency Park in and around Gurgaon and Delhi.
Going under the brand of ‘Saathi’ masala
the USP of products is that the spices are hand grinded through
traditional Hand Chakki, unadulterated, made out of premium quality raw
material and therefore of a very high quality, thus accepted widely.
Remember when you buy ‘Saathi’ masala you
are in turn helping a woman earn and contribute to her and her family’s
development.
