Dear fellow CC residents

As some of you might be knowing the RWA General Body meeting is scheduled to be held on Sunday the 7th Dec. to discuss a few important issues pertaining to the society. The major ones are:

1. Unitech has offered to hand over the maintenance of Nirvana to the resident body. The GBM is to deliberate and decide on this critical matter.

2. An agency is proposed to be hired for a cost of more than Rs. 12 lac, annually, for control of wild life and animals within the Nirvana blocks.

My point here is to discuss with all of you the 2nd issue.

CC has been fortunate to be relatively free from monkey's etc. which has been the cause of major uproar in all other blocks for the animal control. However, stray dogs do cause a wide spread problem, but whose control, is also governed by the laws of the land,  in which they can only be neutered and released back to from where they have been picked up due to their territorial nature.

Since the agency proposed to be hired for the animal control, would also include CC in its offer, Col Kataria and myself contemplated that we could propose to use the CC share of that expense for some other works required in CC.

It would help if we can get the views of other residents on this issue, URGENTLY before the GBM and open house, so that a discussion in the EC may be initiated on this topic.

Thank you.

I agree with ashish & col kataria, but we have to see practicality of this proposal in view of other blocks views.

Yes...wanted a unanimity amongst us to initiate it with the EC and see if and what is possible.

Thanks

We all agree that blocks AG, BC ,DW & ES do need protection from monkeys & stray dogs, however, CC & DW- S block are presently free from this menace.
The proposal is that the area given to the agency for this work be reduced by keeping CC & DW-s out of the ambit & some money be saved. We can rejoin the effort when ever need is felt at any stage.
The money thus saved can be gainfully used.
Please give your opinion on the proposal & also suggest 'jobs' that need to be done.

My personal opinion - if we wish to remain united, then we should stay together. Leaving CC or DW-E from the scope of agency will bring minimal reduction in charges, but this will create a precedent and at some later date, whatever CC needs more than others , it will go against our interest. Looking at our numbers in CC, better to stay united !! Whatever RWA decides, it should be PAN- nirvana !!

This is my personal opinion , and will always support whatever majority decides !!

Unity should be paramount. Other things secondary.
But without upsetting the unity can we still put our case ?

Rajesh,s point has merit. Am also saying this from my previous experience & by alienating ourselves from mainstream, we might just be playing into majorities hands.

Completely agree with Rajesh and Sandeep that we should remain united.

My view is that just bringing this point will create a lot of issue. In past, few residents from other blocks have raised issues on expenditure on CCTV and concretina wire etc not proportional to the block wise contributions when our blocks were being included in phase 2. At some point someone even suggested that CC was not part of original RWA formation etc.

2. This cost of 12lakhs may not be reduced proportionally given the way this might have been negotiated.

3. We do have stray dog menace and we need help there

Would suggest we remain united as mentioned by Rajesh.

Kind Regards,
Sachin

If we are  in a truly democratic Collegiate system I see no harm in each Block customizing expenditure of funds to meet special needs ; any preference by CC residents should not be viewed as signs of 'revolt' but as true devolution of powers.

This view could be furthered by discussion and consensus and not unilaterally.

1. Roads
2. Maintenance of plots where construction not done.
3. Some have constructed a boundary wall where the machines can't enter to maintain if they wish to . Some could be locked so even manually not possible .
4. Dogs at entry of gates who bark and chase cars .
5. Insufficient security guards .
6. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene while construction is in progress . They can't occupy roads .
7. Any other...

Some which I could think of .
