UPCOMING EVENTS YOU DON'T WANT TO
MISS!

The filing date
to run for office in 2024 is about 7 months away, it’s time to start
thinking about what we can do –whether it be running for office
ourselves, finding Democrats to run, or how to assist other Democrats
running for office.
The 4th District
committee has put together a great line-up of speakers for you that
know how to run in Missouri and who will be there to give us some tips
and lessons learned.
Adrian Plank –
State Representative for Missouri’s 47th House District
Randi McCallian
– Congressional Candidate for Missouri’s 8th District and Elected
Member Phelps County Emergency Services Board
Alex Johnson –
Field Director House Democratic Campaign Committee (HDCC)
Lyra Noce –
Boone County Chair

Bring the family
to the 7th Annual 4th District Picnic! The 4th District committee has
rented the main shelter at Harry S. Truman State Park outside Warsaw,
MO on Sunday, October 1st. Bring a side dish and your table service.
We'll provide meat and drinks.
ALL the
Statewide candidates have been invited to speak at this event. This
will be a great opportunity for you to meet these candidates up close
and personal. Candidate speeches, play some horseshoes, fish, and let
the kids enjoy the playground. Let's have some fun with friends and
family as we enter the most important part of this election
cycle.
We'll eat at
Noon with candidate speeches and games to follow.
We still
need survey responses.
Under the
age of 50? Please take our survey!

ATTENTION -
YOUNG DEMOCRATS
And for the purpose of this survey, young
is anyone under the age of 50.
If you've noticed
the Cass County Democrats in parades and booths around Cass County,
you've probably also noticed that the majority of us who regularly
volunteer are over the age of 50 (thus why we've chosen under 50 to
take this survey).
We need help!
We were barely able to staff a booth at Summerfest from Noon to 8:00
pm for one day. In the last election, we were only able to get 4
candidates to run. What are we doing wrong? What can we do
better?
We KNOW that a whole lot of you care, but we
can't turn Cass County blue without volunteers and
candidates!
If you are
under the age of 50, please take this survey. You can answer
anonymously if you'd like, we really want honest answers! If you know
someone under 50 here in Cass that isn't in this group, please share
this link with them. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8TW92C6
If you have
any comments, questions, or concerns to send our way, please know you
can do this at any time to: cassde...@gmail.com
Thank
you!
We have a new
fundraising plan and part of that plan includes being able to give
money to our candidates in 2024 after they file (barring a Primary).
It's hard to start a campaign and we want to give enough for our
candidates to get off to a good start. This plan depends on all of us
"budgeting for Democracy". Have you paid your 2023 annual dues? Have
you thought about a recurring monthly donation? If everyone reading
this email would give $5.00 a month, we'd be well on our way to
reaching our goal for our candidates in 2024! Donate to the Cass
County Democrats

We know political change
takes people working together. It takes people contributing their
time, talent, and treasure to make it happen. We on the Cass County
Central Democratic Committee ask you to give available time, share
your unique talents, and give generously to create a different and
better world for all people in our county and our state. To fund our
ongoing work for the change we ask you to pay 2023 annual dues of $25.00.
If you can give more, that is appreciated. Please let us know if you
want to give for a specific reason or to support a particular cause.
You can donate from our homepage
www.casscountydemocrats.com.
Thank you for all you do and
all you give to make this world a better place.
