Dear teammates,

Here are the updates for our project for this week. We are running out of time so I hope each of you clear about the part that you have to be responsible with and working on it. So I make this one draft of our final report contents and I hope through that, each of you have the clear idea about the report and from that we can extract the contents to our final presentation.

Final Report Draft Content:

Introduction

1.0 Soil Investigation 

-Soil properties

-Soil investigation detail (equipment, requirement)

-Soil investigation cost details

2.0 Statutory Submission Requirements

-Submission to authorities ( to every department, everything during CED 1)

-Earthwork Layout (Cut and fill section)

-Earthwork calculation (details)

-Submission time table (conclusion, OSC, etc)

3.0 Substructure

-Foundation Structure

  = Piling Detail (RC square pile.....etc)

  = Piling calculation  (derived from the calculation of the building, later will finished by Shidah and me)

-Basement/ Wall System

 = Retaining Wall Detail

 =Retaining Wall Calculation

-Pilecap

 = Pilecap Detail

 =Pilecap Calculation

-Ground Floor Structural System

 = Beam and Slabs Layout

 = Calculation example (loading,etc)

 = Column stump

-Other considerations

 = Waterproofing

 = Anti-Termites

4.0 Superstructure

- Column System  = details & calculation

-Connection 

- Beam system

5.0 Structural Analysis

10.0 Quantity Surveying Works

- For this part, each of you need to do the research for your own part. Me and Ashraf just met Dr Shahir last week and he told me that the required cost is THE CONSTRUCTION COST, hence we need to come out with the amount from each of our part.

Construction Cost here means that all the cost from C&S (Civil Structural Works) which are :

- Earthworks

- Infrastructures (Road, Drainage, Water Reticulation, Wastewater Pipeline)

-Structural Work

And did I mention he just want the estimation? Okay, he stated that only the estimation is required, not the detailed one. So please at least do a research about cost estimation for your part, let say example, for Water Reticulation, what is the requirements, just assume what pipes we are using and stuff, and find the latest rates, then sum-up. 

I welcome any questions from you and since me and Shidah are struggling to do the very heavy structural works, can the rest of you start with the rest of the reports like Intro, etc, (all the messy stuff, ...) ? So let's work on this and we will decide later on the presentation. Thank You.

hey guys, i just came back to the campus today :D...for my part i have finished the (water proofing and mitigation) also (water stops and bulkheads), ill attach all together as soon as i finish all of it..when is the dead line for this process?

Hey Karim, welcome back. I'm not sure but i'll update to you later. Preferably  as soon as possible but at the same time, dont need to rush. Lets keep calm and do the report. :)
