Hi,
I am trying to play with Hermes 2 but i am having a lot of issues with it that may be due to my lack of understanding about the product, and i need some help please!
I have installed Hermes 2 with a postgresql back end running under Tomcat on Centos 5. I also have access to another as2 product which is currently in use with over 250 partners. I need to find out if Corvus is a suitable replacement.
I have the following questions.
1. Certificate management - It seems that when you install it, a Corvus.p12 and a Corvus.cer file are created - are these the CA Root certs to use for generating new certificate? What are these used for?
2. I can't get a valid connection to work no matter how i try. At present the problem I have is mismatching MIC's. I know we use SHA1 so i can't understand why its not working. I have other parties using Hermes with our legacy AS2 app so it must work somehow?
3. Certificate renewals - how do you renew certificates when they expire? Is it an OpenSSL job or something else?
Also for our existing AS2 platform i have an OpenSSL script that generates AS2 certificates (pfx & cer) for use on AS2 that work. How do I import a pfx for my end of the link?
So many questions and so much confusion - so if you can help, it would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
R.
