Hi everyone,

In Hermes is it possible to insert a custom tag inside the body of a ebMS message?

For example to insert a recipient in the message, we use the tag <to party> receiver_name </ to party>.

I'm tryng to insert a custom tag like this: <project> <sender>name</sender><recipient>name<
/recipient></project>. To insert the standard tag I use this API: soapBody.addChildElement() and it works. But if I use it for the custom header, it doesn't work!

Can anyone help me? A
ny suggestion is welcome.

Thanks you, regards.

Hi Allan,

In case I want to change the ebMS SOAP message because of additional information fields, can you give me some opinions to do that? Or do have any other suggestions? I'm grateful for any hint.

Thanks,
An Nguyen.

Hi Nello,

I do not understand what you mean. An ebMS message is a well defined SOAP message with one or more MIME attachments. (see http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/272/ebMS_v2_0.pdf)

The MIME attachement or 'payload' can be whatever you like.

Do you want to change the ebMS SOAP message thus deviate away from the ebXML standards?

Thanks,
-Allan.

Let me start off by saying that even stock H2O lacks support for some header elements, e.g. Role, if recall correctly. So the question is valid.
In general, have a look at the hk.hku.cecid.ebms.pkg package to find out how header stuff is implemented.
