We have an opening for a PhD candidate at Maastricht University's CARIM institute. The project focuses on characterizing the electrical substrate after myocardial infarction to better understand arrhythmia risk. The candidate will apply engineering techniques, including electrocardiographic imaging and AI, to improve clinical decision-making for implantable cardioverter defibrillators.
We seek applicants with a background in biomedical engineering or related fields, strong analytical skills, and an interest in translational research. The position offers opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and international experience.
