What better way than to spend your weekends exploring Mumbai's own wilderness!
The BNHS invites you to join our experienced naturalists for a monsoon special nature trail into the BNHS Nature Reserve. Walk along the trails exploring the forests for its big and small creatures. Rest assured, you will be having a great, healthy nature walk and loads of infotainment about the whos', howz and whys' of the forest. Do not forget to get your cameras!
Charge: INR 600 (non-members);
INR 500 (BNHS members)
Meeting Point: Conservation Education Center (CEC), Behind Filmcity, Goregaon East.
DATE: 10th August 2025, Sunday
ITINERARY:
07.30 AM -- Assemble at the Conservation Education Center (CEC).
07.45 AM -- Depart to the Vihar Lake Trail.
10.30 AM -- End Walk and Return to the CEC.
Tea and Cookies at CEC before departure.
CHARGES:
INR 600 per participant (for non-members)
INR 500 per participant (for BNHS members)
CHARGES INCLUSIVE OF: Entry Fees, Nature Trail leaders, Refreshments.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Wear proper walking shoes. No sandals or slippers, please.
2. Raincoats are preferred. Umbrellas can get cumbersome on the trail.
3. Carry ample amounts of water for yourself.
4. Refrain carrying costly items (except cameras) and jewellery for the trek.
5. Carrying a walking stick will be helpful.
6. Carrying some dry snacks for yourself will be advisable.
