Greetings from College of Engineering, Chengannur Our college is reaching heights day by day, the new building was inaugurated on 4th August 2012. We are one of the elite Top 10 Colleges in the State now & we have also a new branch coming up from this semester. As a build up to such developments the students have well planned and decided to organize and conduct our prestigious Technical Festival Summit. This year it would be a three-day technical and Cultural extravaganza. It is a biennial fest and it will be the sixth event of its kind with an aim in improving the technical, managerial and other skills of young Engineer minds. It is now scheduled on 13th, 14th and 15th of September 2012. SUMMIT ’12, is based on the theme “Humanitarian and Secure Technology for Sustainable Development” offers a plethora of events ranging from seminars and workshops on the state of art technology to contests that push Students’ talents and brain beyond limits, thereby fetching the best brains from Engineering Institutions across the nation. A few highlights of SUMMIT ’12 are: · i-Bot workshop – Robotics workshop on image processing. · E-waste management workshop · Lecture series by Eminent Personalities · Technical Project Expo · “Garage Inc” - Auto Expo – Vintage models and sporty thrashers · Various Technical & Non-Technical Competitions · Pro Show · Rock Band Show We require your help & support to make this event a Grand Success. · Contacts of eminent resource person for Lecture Series who could talk on :- o Electronic Waste Management o Humanitarian Technology o Mobile Application Development o Entrepreneurship o Career modelling through Nation building o Other topics which gets along with the theme and is trending in the current scenario
We have an estimated budget of Rs 8.5 Lakh , The total prize money is worth Rs 2.8 Lakh and we are really facing problems financially. We have been able to raise Rs 60,000 till date from local sponsorship , fund-raising events inside college as well as from stalls during the first year admission. We would be really grateful if you could help us out in any form like helping us to reach out to good sponsors or helping us by other monetary methods. You could send in your contribution into the ARC(Alumni Relation Cell) Bank Account via DD/ Bank Transfer
