Metamorphoses International Acousmatic Composition Competition 2026 — Registration period

The Metamorphoses 2026 biennial acousmatic composition competition, organised by Musiques & Recherches with the support of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, is now open.

The Metamorphoses composition competition includes three categories:

• Category A: for composers who will be 28 years old or under in 2026, or for students in electroacoustic composition (proof of status required). No entry fee applies for Category A.
  
• Category B: open to all composers wishing to compete in this category who will be 50 years old or under in 2026. The entry fee for Category B is €25 per composer.
  
• Category C: open to all composers wishing to compete in this category who will be over 50 years old in 2026. The entry fee for Category C is €45 per composer.

Prize for category A

1st Prize: Publication of the piece on BANDCAMP, performance of the piece during the October 14th.

Prizes for category B

1st prize: 2000 Euros

2nd prize: 500 Euros

Audience Prize: 500 Euros
