Sampo & Modalio AcademyIntroduction to augmented instruments

From 23 to 28 August 2026, the Sampo & Modalio Academy brings together performers and composers who wish to broaden the sound palette of their instrument and open up new artistic horizons. During six days of intensive training, participants will explore live electronics, improvisation, performance and mixed music composition thanks to the Sampo and the Modalio. 

During the Academy, participants will acquire (better) knowledge of mixed music and augmented instruments, of the specificities of performing mixed music and of different kinds of works.

The 2026 edition will take place in the stunning setting of the French Alps, offering an environment ideal for concentration, experimentation, and creativity.
