Dear all,
I'm pleased to be able to invite any who are interested and available to express their interest in participating in the relaunched Live Coding Intensive in the Networked Imagination Laboratory at McMaster University (NIL,
https://nil.mcmaster.ca), Tue 19 May
- Thu 28 May 2026, in-person only. The 8 official days of the Intensive offer the chance for workshops, collaborations, performances (etc) that take advantage of the affordances of the NIL (86-speaker loudspeaker array, 4 video walls, and various other technologies)
as well as the possibility to interact with guest artists, such as confirmed international guest artist Dr. Kate Sicchio (
https://www.sicchio.com/) with two further guest artists currently being confirmed.
We have a limited number of "seats" available for people from the (local and global) community who would like take part (the intensive also intersects with an undergraduate course about live coding, so individuals accepted to participate will be doing so alongside
credit-earning students). There is no direct cost for participation, but individuals will be entirely responsible for their own travel, accommodation and meal arrangements (we are unable to provide any support for travel, nor any other form of financial support).
Please get in touch with me directly by email at
ogb...@mcmaster.ca (no later than end of day on Mon 20 April) if you are interested in attending the live coding intensive.
Yours truly,
David
