One of my students has asked me if it is possible to power a high
quality speaker from a car battery or any other portable sources. And
if so how long would the battery last for? I have no idea about this
but someone here may have a suggestion. It is for an installation in
the middle of a park in Switzerland.
Best,

is one. There's a high end "clean" version out there as well. When I
remember where I saw it I'll pass it on.

Best,

if you can, don't use an inverter and grid-powered amp - the power
conversion will be lossy and possibly noisy. rather, get as many car
hifi amps as you need, and use whatever passive speakers you have.
