Dear all,

Sorry for cross-postings.

Call for Submissions: inner sOUndscapes

inner sOUndscapes is a concert series dedicated to electroacoustic music, organized by the computer music studio of the University of Oklahoma, School of Music. For its Fall 2026 edition, inner sOUndscapes solicit electroacoustic compositions for fixed media, acousmatic, soundscape and videoart. We accept anonymous submissions for 2, or 4 channels. New works that have not been premiered or works composed in the last 5 years are particularly welcomed! The selected works will be diffused by graduate students during the inner sOUndscapes concert at the University of Oklahoma, School of Music in mid-November.

Submission rules:
1. Composers of any age and nationality are invited to submit any number of works.
2. The submission mp3 audio file must be anonymous (including metadata).
3. The duration of any individual submission should not exceed 10 minutes.
4. Submission deadline: August 15th 2026.

Submission guidelines:
1. Create a folder with the following materials:
    1. A PDF file containing the composer’s bio (up to 100 words), program notes (up to 100 words), contact info, composer’s nationality, and number of audio channels of the fixed media.
    2. A stereo MP3 file of the work. Quadraphonic works must be reduced to stereo for adjudication purposes.
    3. Videoart works can be submitted via a link of the work to a file sharing site (i.e. Google Drive, OneDrive, Hightail, Dropbox, etc.). Make sure the link is included in the submission email body, is accessible and remains valid during the adjudication process. Multichannel works higher than quadraphonics will not be considered.
2. Compress the folder in zip format.
3. Name the compressed file with the composer’s last name and title of the piece.
4. Upload the compressed file to a file sharing website (i.e. OneDrive, Hightail, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) and send an email with the link to sound...@ou.edu.
All submissions will be evaluated according to their originality and craftsmanship. The composers of the selected works will be notified in early September by email and will be asked to submit uncompressed audio files and diffusion schemes, if available. For questions, please contact Konstantinos Karathanasis at karath...@ou.edu.
