School of Music, Texas Tech University
The School of Music at Texas Tech University is pleased to announce a new call for works for Electronic Nights No. 8, 9, and 10. We invite composers and intermedia artists to submit multichannel electroacoustic works (4-channel) that explore spatial depth and immersive environments. For this cycle, we are expanding our programming to include works for both audio-only and audio-visual (video) formats.
Submission MaterialsEach submission must include the following components:
Four Mono Audio Files: 4-channel stems clearly labeled (FL, FR, RL, RR).
Video File (Optional): High-quality video for audio-visual submissions.
Channel Layout Plan: A simple diagram or text file showing the spatial arrangement.
Stereo Reference: One stereo MP3 version of the piece.
Documentation (Word File): Containing a bio (150 words) and a Program Note (150 words).
Artistic Headshot: High-resolution (JPEG or PNG).
Technical SpecificationsQuad Delivery (4 Mono Stems)
Format: Four mono WAV files (48 kHz / 24-bit preferred).
Filenames: Lastname_Title_CH1.wav through CH4.wav.
Channel Order: Include a note (e.g., CH1=FL, CH2=FR, CH3=RL, CH4=RR).
Video Specifications
Format: .mp4 or .mov (H.264 or ProRes).
Resolution: 1080p or 4K.
Program & Publicity
Biography: Exactly 150 words, included in a Word document.
Program Note (PN): Exactly 150 words, included in a Word document.
Headshot: JPG/PNG, at least 1500 px on the long side.
Hosting & StoragePlease upload all materials to a single folder on a cloud storage service (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
Access: Set to "Anyone with the link can view."
Availability: The link must remain active until the end of 2026. Do not use expiring services like WeTransfer or those requiring an account to download.
