I am pleased to share with you the latest updates on MUSICACOUSTICA-Hangzhou 2026, an annual international event hosted by the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, China. The festival features a rich lineup of electroacoustic music concerts, international lectures, emerging artist workshops, and other activities, focusing on the developments and researches in electroacoustic music, AI music , and music technology.
This year, the Organizing Committee is proud to launch the MUSICACOUSTICA-Hangzhou 2026 Academic Paper Awards. Scholars, researchers, graduate students, and practitioners worldwide are cordially invited to submit original, rigorous, and innovative papers. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- Theories and practices of electroacoustic, computer, and interactive music
- Music AI applications in intangible cultural heritage preservatio
- Aesthetic and sociological studies of music AI
- Industry-academia-research integration and commercialization in music technology
- Spatialized and immersive music creation
- Other original research related to music AI, music technology, and interactive music
Key dates:
- Submission deadline: August 20, 2026
- Preliminary results announced: September 15, 2026
- Final defense/presentation: during the festival (September 22–27, 2026)
Awards:
First Prize (1 recipient): RMB 10,000 + Certificate
Second Prize (2 recipients): RMB 5,000 each + Certificate
Third Prize (3 recipients): RMB 3,000 each + Certificate
Honorary Mention (4 recipients): Certificate only
